At Atria, we work one-on-one with our residents and their families to create a quality of life we all wish for our loved ones.

 

We are a 102-bed Assisted Living community serving the elderly. This position is responsible for performing the resident services tasks as assigned by the Resident Services Director.

 

We are currently looking for a Experienced Prep Cook to join our team. The function of the Prep Cook is to assist with the preparation and presentation of meals in accordance with Atria recipes and guidelines for the community.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

 

Prep Cook Services

 

•Meets all reporting requirements in a concise, accurate and timely fashion.

 

•Ensures work area is clean including shelves and cooking surfaces.

 

•Monitors and ensures food is handled and stored properly (i.e., covered, labeled and dated).

 

•Ensures that all open foods are covered, labeled and dated.

 

•Ensures food is handled and stored properly.

 

•Estimates daily or weekly needs and orders food supplies and equipment.

 

•Prepares and ensures snacks and beverages are available for residents at all times.

 

•Performs tasks as assigned by the Food Service Director.

 

•Performs the cook position as needed.

 

•Arrives to work on time.

 

•Absence and tardiness is minimal.

 

•Appearance is neat, clean, and according to dress code.

 

•Other duties as assigned.

 

Quality & Safety

 

•Assists with the receipt, storage, preparation and presentation of food as required by the Food Services Director and for adhering sanitation and safety practices for the community according to Atrias policies and procedures and federal, state and local regulations.
